I listened to the album a long time ago and thought it was good but just wasn't in the mood for it.
I've listened to it a bunch in the last few days and I think it's really good. It reminds me of real old-school thrash without sounding retro. The singer has a nice style, snarly and sometimes shrieking. He does some lame "clean" parts but they only last about 10 seconds.
The band is technical as hell and they get called "proggy" because of their long precise songs, I guess. The obvious comparison is Voivod and it's an apt comparison.
My only complaint is that the thing seems really long and the songs don't differ much. I don't mind the sameness at all but the album would be just as good if it was like half the length.
Overall, it's a very good album that makes me interested in thrash again.
