I'd say Hendrix is better by far. I'm a Clapton fan, though. I think he's good, but he's no hendrix. Hendrix was just on another level of innovation and creativity, Clapton can't really touch him on that. I think Hendrix was on another level of songwriting, too. He just blows him away on every level. Clapton never wrote anything in the realm of Hey Baby (new rising sun), villinova junction, Pali gap.

Yeah I agree with everything you said there. To me there is nobody that compares to Hendrix as far as being an all around musician. Clapton doesn't come close in any aspect of music. I do enjoy some of Claptons music but its really simple.I respect him as person as well. He's lived through a lot and is still around to tell the tale about his adventures. He's overcome addiction and survived other situations that some might not could have. But as far as comparing him to Hendrix..theres just no comparison imo. The late but great Jimi can not be topped.
