Today I was listening to a studio version of "In the Flesh," one of my favorite Blondie songs (see two posts above). Hearing this version made me appreciate even more Debbie Harry's smooth, silky voice, and the song's structure.

You can hear the vocal chorus (sounding like two different singers) panned left and right, respectively, which I assume is her voice overdubbed. The vocal chorus of this song is predominant and gives it a rich, lush, warm sound.

I hadn't noticed the tubular bells so distinctly before. I love tubular bells. I also like the electric guitar in this piece. It often is played very quietly and sounds as if it is panned entirely to the left as it strums short, jangly chords. A very pretty song, I feel.
