Ufomammut's "Idolum"
Saw Janzoons's review in his "25 Albums Before..." thread. Wonderfully stoney, psychedelic doom metal. The bass attacks you like a large, dangerous mammal.

Josh Garrel's "Love & War & The Sea In Between"
Imagine a folk guitarist who learned how to sing from soul records and then he hung out with a lot of hip-hop people. This album is mostly chill and laid back, with drum samples and lots of acoustic guitar, synths, harps, banjo, violin... etc. Lots of intelligent wordplay, allegories involving the ocean, and a whole slew of love songs. I recommend it.
