I wonder if they did El Topo the same way. I just got done watching El Topo for the second time, and I think I enjoyed it more than Holy Mountain. Now on to Santa Sangre, which should be slightly different, as I understand it's a horror flick. I enjoy the messages Holy Mountain and El Topo send. I also enjoy that they contradict each other a bit. One is advocating against organized religion and one for. But that's a nutshell. They're far more involved than just that.
