I picked up these 2 last night

Air - Le Voyage Dans La Lune

This album serves as both a soundtrack and the inspired results to Georges Melies 1902 film of the same name. The Smashing Pumpkins also drew direct inspiration from the film for their Tonight,Tonight video back in the day. The album is good but it feels a bit darker than other Air releases, I'm not sure if it's a due to being a soundtrack first and foremost or because they've got a new drummer on this disc. There are a lot of points on the disc where I get a classic trip hop feel like old Portishead or Hooverphonic. I wouldn't call it essential listening but it's most definitely worth it to anyone who enjoys their chilled out style.

Mogwai - Earth Division EP

The first two tracks are a lot softer and mellower than what I expected, especially with the clean vocals. The 3rd track 'Drunk and Crazy' is classic Mogwai with excessive effect use colouring every last aspect of the track the latter half of the piece really stretches itself out and stands as a highlight for the disc. For the most part this EP sounds like leftovers from Mr. Beast. Just like the Air disc, it's not essential listening but hardly disappointing either.
