Just something that I came up with just now. Its not the greatest...but I didn't try.
It first started with a kiss on your door step before i said goodnight,
then it seemed you had moved on just as easy as you could say goodnight.
The hardest thing isn't saying goodbye...
Its walking away
As the weeks go on,
i stand here waiting for your call,
why do i waste my time,
i miss the feeling of your lips,
the smell of your skin,
the way you always told me you loved me
why do i waste my time waiting up for the phone to ring,
and when it does to have your lonesome voice asking for one last chance
these days of waiting have run their course,
i decided to move on...
just as i reached for the door,
the phone rang one last time
and it was your quiet voice begging
for the one last chance you've been looking for
i fell silent as a single tear rolled down my emotionless face
all that could come to my mind was yes
