Interesting take on R&B that tries to push the genre towards something new. Abel Tesfaye has a great singing voice and really does Michael Jackson justice on his cover of "Dirty Diana". His songs really capture the truth behind the party scene and how tiring it can get to the point where it's painful, but the exit doesn't seem to exist anymore. Most of the songs deal with relationships and how Abel Tesfaye's relationships have changed since becoming a kind of icon in the public eye. Definitely has me anticipating his full length LP coming out later on this year. |
Best thing they have put out BY FAR. Feels a lot more genuine and maintains interest.
