The Jet Age Of Tomorrow -
Voyager
Unrelenting sent me this futuristic Hip-Hop/Electronic album to listen to. It is interesting to note that I only learnt that
JAT were part of the
OFWGKTA collective after I listened to the album and checked my last.fm to see if I had heard them before as one song sounded familiar. It turns out I had, and it was on the
12 Odd Future Songs compilation ("But She's Not My Lover").
Anyway, I really liked the album, and I am glad that I didn't learn they were
OFWGKTA until after because I am usually tainted against their music because of previous releases I really didn't like. I don't think the album is mind blowing or anything, but it seems genuine in its lyrics and the production is cool and not completely generic. I especially liked the song
"Can I Hold Your Hand" because of the strange vocals and
Daft Punk sounding style.
So yeah, overall, really good album, one of my favourite
Odd Future releases and I am looking forward to hearing what else they have put out.
Cheers for the album, I hope you enjoy yours
