Gauntlet Hair - Gauntlet Hair
This album definitely hits a sound that has been popular with indie the last few years...I think if there is a defining sound of the late 00's/early 10's, this would be it. Vocals and guitars drenched in reverb and a very atmospheric sound. Where a band like Animal Collective takes that kind of sound and gets more and more abstract with it, these guys stay fairly grounded. That's not to say there aren't plenty of great psychedelic moments, though. Great album.
