Music Banter - View Single Post - Bands Your Peers Were Into That You Got Into Much, Much Later

When I was in 6th/7th grade, White Zombie/Rob Zombie were really big amongst my classmates. I never listened to them, had no real interest, and really kinda blew them off as crap without any basis (partially due to *some* of the types of people that were listening to them as well). I guess I was a music snob on various levels even back then.

Then about 3 or 4 years ago, I finally decided to really check them out based on other factors (Rob Zombie's movies, hearing their songs elsewhere, best friend was HUGE into Rob Zombie, etc.). Turns out I really really liked them and now own about 3 Rob solo albums and have seen him twice in concert.

Any similar stories?
