ick but wouldn't it be even more daft of her to let people argue their way out of mandatory fees that her employer sets?
Her bosses might find that quite daft. And if she's the boss herself then she's just greedy, not daft.
Either way, I agree that it's a ridiculous charge and it sucks that fees like that are legal for companies to enforce. Free-market capitalism at its most debauched.
