I certainly remember Blackmore`s solos as being very good on that album and this style he continued on the Rainbow albums. My big problem with Burn is not so much the songs, but I just don`t really like David Coverdale, never have really. Burn is certainly better than Stormbringer but not as good as Come Taste the Band which of course has Tommy Bolin instead of Ritchie Blackmore.

Don't get me wrong I love Deep Purple with Ian Gillan. But I do agree with ya on Come Taste The Band. David Coverdale's Vocals have never been on the level of Ian Gillan. But I think Ritchie Blackmore is the reason I really love the album. But I'm a Guitar Player
