Both Man in the Wilderness (what a brilliant display by Tommy Shaw on that song) and Castle Walls are the very best two, I love the lyrics on Castle Walls as well. Of the early Styx albums I think The Serpent is Rising is the best but I still love the song "A Day" off the Styx II album with the long forgotten John Curulewski on vocals.

You scored a bunch here. Nobody remembers Styx I

Me either.
Masque was a great as well. Two-cents, Icarus, Pinnacle, trying to remember the others.....oh well. Questions of my Childhood, Mystery and Mayhem.....
Kerry Livgren could write some epics. He was definitely aware, but, not aware as it goes.
It makes me wonder what kind, and, how much dope were all these great lyrics derived.
Kerry went away to church, and, that was the end of one of my favorites. Styx II....Father OSA. And, always loved 'You'd Better Ask'
