Considering how many classic projects he's been apart from I can forgive him for Hemopheliac, and Painkiller.

The thing that pisses me off is people like Mike Patton who go 'Hey, I work with Zorn, so I can be like Zorn, and release my farts', and just end up releasing farts(Patton is amazing when he has Zorn composing for him, and was amazing in Mr.Bungle.' But Christ, 99% of his solo releases sound like very poor attempts to be Zorn, or him just playing with a microphone for 3 days imitating cats, sirens, Yamataka Eye, and RnB singers).

Zorn is one of those selective minds like Fred Frith, or Bill Laswell, or Frank Zappa who can get away with releasing ridiculously excessive amounts of material.
Absolutely. Agree, agree, agree.

I'm a fan of Patton's and I still must agree with your thoughts on his releases. I would just have to say maybe 25% of Patton's solo stuff is as you say, but I still agree. You did, however, list Moonchild as a positive release, and as much as I enjoyed watching Patton's Looney Tunes for adults -esque 10 minute vocal solo and wankery, it feels like a stunt or exposition of range. Incredible, but that's about it.

I think that Buckethead has earned a right to stand at the side or at least a half pedestal down from the likes of Zorn, Zappa, Laswell, Frith, with his vast collection. He's quickly gaining on the masters of large discographies, and I'd say he's 67% golden material to 33% "Really, did you need to record this?" I'd probably say a 2/3 ratio is what I think of Zorn and Zappa as well, though I only have a couple things by Laswell and Frith.
