I can't find any sources to confirm that but that does sound quite interesting. But yeah the album does sum up post-rock in a way, although I highly doubt Michael Gira would see it like that. It is a great example of using rock instrumentation to do something completely different and unconventional and that just about sums it up for me. But then again they've pretty much been doing that throughout their career only harsher and uglier at the beginning, then becoming more ambient as their career went on but still as uncompromising.
