Underworld - Second Toughest in the Infants (1996)
Up to this point it's been a bit difficult for me to develop an appreciation for English big beat music because the rhythms stagnate & sound forced after a while, so albums become an exercise to listen through. This album did neither -- it more closely resembles the multilayered approach that Leftfield leaves me hungering for.
It also doesn't hurt that two tracks off the album made it into
Trainspotting.
