Speaking of zombie series, there's also the british series
Dead Set from 2008. It's only 5 episodes, though! In Dead Set, some of the characters are participants in a Big Brother reality TV show on the telly. As they're locked inside the Big Brother house, zombie apocalypse happens on the outside. The series also follows some people outside the house. Overall, it was well done even if it wasn't mind blowing. As far as I can remember, the zombies looked pretty good.
