I've thought of a few examples for me: "Mysterious Ways," by U2 (before the band's slow decline) and "Sledgehammer," by far Peter Gabriel's worst hit song. I never enjoy that one - it's repetitive, doesn't make any sense, and (maybe another reason) has no noticeable guitar. Also, Robert Plant "Tall Cool One" - uggh, remixed Zeppelin, I generally dislike that band, but used to love him solo.

Mysterious Ways is a good/worst pick. I like about everything Peter Gabriel did, although I agree how overplayed Sledgehammer is. I also liked Robert Plants solo work

and Led Zeppelin as well.
"Pour Some Sugar On Me" is a most irritating hit by Def Leopard.
