Hi s_k! Your house project is coming along beautifully and I'm glad to hear how you are doing.

That's so wonderful how your friends and parents are joining together to help update and add stylish details (like the slick new bathroom lever handle!) to make your new house a home just for you...complete with the green walls in a color I can tell you like, since you had green walls in your garage flat, too.

Your dad's stairs look very sturdy. What a labor of love! I remember how my dad designed and made a lamp for me to study with in my room. I always loved that lamp (it was a good design, created such that it never glared in my eyes) and the emotions that went behind those actions of his as he worked to make it.

I can see you and your friends and family are having fun on the project, too, with that cute dog as the cutest mascot ever falling asleep on wood and investigating the garden mud. The cake with sprinkles looked delicious and festive. The plants planned for the garden are delightful, too: so fanciful, with the single sunflower. It looks like your mom is the main gardener, although I noticed you and your dad diligently weeding!

And I loved the street in front of the house...the narrow street with little bicycle zones on either side of it, I think? I even noticed that the house across the street from yours has an ivy-covered archway. That's so charming! I liked the glimpses of scenery, such as the windmill, and that odd flying-saucer-like building.

The bathroom with the roll-in shower/wet floor is an excellent feature to have in a home so that people of all ages can use it. Are you having any grab bars installed? I just thought I'd recommend it in case you hadn't thought of having grab bars installed to improve safety.

I really get a sense of the joint endeavor by seeing your photos. I'm so glad that your home will be one filled with all that love right from the very start, built into the dark wood flooring, the tiles, the additional lighting, your shelves for all your tapes, and the stairs you'll go up and down every day to get to your room.

Thanks again for sharing! I love house construction and house design, and especially when it is a house of someone with whom I'm acquainted, so I'll having fun tracking your project. Good luck with the remaining weeks! It does look like you are all almost done.
