And I agree with Unknown Soldier what matters is the success of the effort. Paint it Black I don't like that much, too repetitive and simple. Far too long for the music in it. Harrison did some interesting ones like 'Love You To' on Revolver, which I think is quite a successful effort.

People go on about the brilliance of John and Paul and quite rightly so, but George Harrison was the hidden gem in that group and the amount of bands that have covered his Beatles material, shows just how much his music was respected.
