Yes, and my point is to quit living in the past. Regardless of that, which WAS screwed up, today's gen of black youths (a couple removed since then and now entrenched and raised in English and American culture) weren't forced to anything and are too comfortable speaking English, to learn something Mexican immigrants grew up with. There are still serious problems with racism today, but the language has evolved to be "american" and has nothing to do with that. They should learn our language before vice versa as newcomers. I do think more Americans need to be bi/mulitlingual, but it's rude as hell for guests in ANY nation to expect the "natives" to learn theirs and not vice versa. I thought most people here wanted to quit this thread, anyways.
