With all the stuff you`ve been recommended surely you don`t need to be listening to Kiss! But if you must.... the ones to listen to are the Kiss debut, Destroyer, Lick it Up and Creatures of the Night. In fact I don`t normally recommend "best of albums" but I remember there is actually a good Kiss one, that focuses on the four original members of the band and dedicates one cd to each member. the material covers most of Kiss`s best stuff and some of the solo releases.

Also instead of getting Alive why don`t you just get a dvd of the band as this is really what the band is all about.

In all honesty unless you`ve loads of money, you really don`t need to be spending it on Kiss.
