Psych rock is always a bit of an intimidating pill for me to swallow, so I was grateful to see this came in a nice, 45 minute morsel. That said, I wasn't the biggest fan of this. I was disappointed in the lack of variety in guitar tones and the pacing, and the vocalist was a bit irritating. I can't say I've listened to an awful lot of Psych, but I've preferred albums by Sleepy Sun and Shooter Jennings. I did see a bit of the Black Keys in this, to start, but as the songs continued I found I could draw fewer parallels.
Nevertheless, always grateful to learn about an artist, and thank you for the recommendation. I'll give anything a fair shot.
