IMPORTANT INFO FOR CHATROOM USERS
There's a problem on the channel with people impersonating and using incognito nicks. In order to prevent that in the future, I will give people who have registered with nickserv automatic half-op on the channel. People with half-op will be able to kick those who don't but are not able to kick other half-ops or user with ops.
This means imposters and unregistered users should be identifiable by their lack of voice and won't be able to write messages when the channel is moderated (mode +m). It shouldn't normally be in +m, but if people are troublesome, it can be set to that temporarily by an operator.
How to register your nick and get VOP status
In case you forgot, in order to register a nickname, change to a nickname so that people can tell who you are on MB. If you don't have your desired nickname yet, you can change it with this command :
/nick nameyouwanttohave
Then, in the chat window, write :
/msg nickserv register yourdesiredpassword youremailaddress
Change the line above to more appropriate values. You'll get an email sent to that address which contains the last step needed for registration.
When that's done, send me a private message saying you've registered along with the nick you're using on the #musicbanter chatroom and I'll add you to the Voice list.
