Suishou no Fune - self-titled
Think long, drawn out post-rock/ambient jams melded with spontaneous (yet temporary) noise freakouts and distant, echoing, lonely Japanese vox. It's a psychedelic album that certainly requires a special mood, but it's definitely in the top 5 'loneliest' albums I've ever heard. It's like if Les Rallizes Denudes turned their distorted monstrosities into somber hymns. I wrote
a review about it a while back.
