I like the naivety of Show No Mercy but it is nothing special really when compared to many albums that came about at the same time but try as I might I just find Hell Awaits a rehearsal for things to come although the Haunting The Chapel E.P is great.
As for Reign In Blood being too quiet production wise
I think it is produced superbly and sounds like it was recorded yesterday. Stunning snare sound. Araya's vocals never sounded better and the usual rambling Slayer guitar solos are used to maximum effect.
