my city was the number 1 city nationwide in 1950 something....they won an award for it and people were proud to live here.
Now, it's run down a bit because of corrupt politics.
There are beautiful historic areas but with the level of corruption it's hard to see the beauty in the city. The city manager is an idiot though. I had a meeting with him Thursday and the easiest way for our city to get more revenue is to create a tour and get tourism up. There are many sites of historic value in this city that aren't being utilize but on the other hand he's whining about limited funds.
