If someone makes people laugh it's normally because they put something of themselves into what they are doing and can be good at it, that's why they can continue being a comedian. People go on stage because they like the limelight, it isn't exactly that steady a job for most with the income it gives. Of course some have had difficult times outside of their job, but that doesn't stop the fact that they are willing to make fun of themselves in public.

See, they started out naive thinking that way. That they love to make people laugh so why not become a comedian but the industry is rough and they end up becoming very cold people in the process while making others laugh.
