I would agree with your analysis of his music but I don't think that he alone created the fusion of electro-house/prog-house and trance together. Movements like that happen overtime with many people contributing to the effort. Deadmau5 is wonderful, but I think he is quite overrated...he really isn't the best composer of music overall.
