It's not so much of a band, neither is king tubby. They are well.. Dubbers, I guess?
They remix music. The original idea back in the day was that they remixed a song. The remix was played in a local dancehall and if the audience responded well, the song would be made into a hit.
Sometimes the difference is tiny.
