I played from school age to my mid 30's. The highest I played was in the Manchester League for a team called Abbey Hey (they're in the North West Counties these days) and for several pub teams during the span of that time in local *Sunday Morning Leagues.

I wish it were like that here. I'm competitive as all hell, and treat every game as life or death. I can only imagine the atmosphere across the pond. Hopefully, someday I'll be able to experience it.
