I think there's a lot of posturing on both sides. If you have seen any of Sports Illustrated's Peter King's recent articles on Roger Goodell you can tell he is trying to portray him as this great guy and stuff. Cause both sides wanna have the public support but I feel like everyone gets irritated when millionaire's are arguing over money. I've said before that I don't know all the issues and what they are discussing but I'll always side with the players cause they are the guys who actually go out there and risk their bodies and spend the entire year busting their asses in the gym. The NBA collective bargaining agreement is also going to be up, so it should be interesting to see what happens with that as well cause I know a lot of owners are going to try to find a way to keep control of their star players because of these "superteams" forming.
I like the combine stuff but it kinda bores me after awhile. I like seeing who's stock rises and falls but watching guys continuously run sprints and catch balls gets boring for me. One of my best friends is HUGE into the combine. Him and his Dad go to the NFL Draft every year and he makes full 7 round mock drafts every year. So he's gotten me into it a little bit more. Draft day is always fun though, something to look forward to

I would say that the incentive should be the love of the game and the fans. Football is at an all time high as far as popularity right now. Why would you not want to come to an agreement? I think the longer they wait the more damage to the game they do. Which n turns affects their payckecks..which is what all this is about in the first place. March 3rd is the end of the agreement thats in effect now. An extension or new agreement hasnt shown any signs of life yet. As a
true fan of the game I would like to see both sides give a little and get this issue resolved. Besides weve got a new coach and need all the prep time we can get in. To learn to mesh together as a team and all the other offseason things you do to get ahead of the game.
As far as the combine this weekend nobody really blew me away. I was mostly interested in watching Cam Newton as so was everyone else. There was a lot of speculation in regaurds to his capabilities as a Q.B. and whether or not it was a good choice for him to do the combine. I didnt see anything wrong in his throwing mechanics at all. His delivery was accurate and fluent. The only thing I saw that he was doing awkward was his 7 step drop. Of course in college a big percentage of the teams work out of the shotgun so theres never any practice on your drop backs. Im not exzactly sure what kind of offense Auburn runs but with a great athlete like Cam I would imagine your standard option would be my guess. I saw on the news here Dallas might have been interested in him so I did my own little investigation on if I approve.(like it matters but ehh) Overall id say a Cam Newton draft may not ba a bad thing. I had my doubts on him but with a little polishing on the rough around the edges parts. I think Cam will excell as well as any Q.B. ever has. We already know mentally he has the capabilities of tuning out negativity with the whole scandal thing this last season. Even with that hanging over him he managed to still win the national championship and the heisman trophy. In the Nfl this is definatley a good trait to have because we all know the love of critisism the media loves to throw out there and turn the smallest thing into a distraction.
As far as anyone else nothing really caught my eye. A few tight ends had an exceptional vertical leap. A tight end may be in the works for my team in the future but no real sense of urgency at the moment. I think our secondry is in desperate need of some help. I cant figure out Jerry's methods of drafting and signing. I mean these high profile receivers are great to have (when they do their job) but if your deffense cant stop anyone..whats the point? Stop the bleeding already and sign a free safety and some good corners. The deffense as a whole needs a leader on the field and the locker room.
