Both The Birthday Party and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds are great. I think Grinderman is just okay but I know a lot of people disagree with me on that. For The Birthday Party I'd recommend checking out the album
Junkyard, which is just wall-to-wall great. The Bad Seeds are harder to pin down to one specific album because they've released a lot of stuff, but
Let Love In, Murder Ballads and
Abattoir Blues/The Lyre of Orpheus are my personal favorites.
