Do you know who DJ Premier is? (made beats for Nas, Jay-Z, Royce, Mos Def, Big L, Biggie, Redman, Ghostface Killah, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Immortal Technique, KRS-One, MOP) probably one of the best producers of our time. If you know him, you should really know who Guru is. Guru was the rapper in, Premier was the producer, they were the duo known as Gang Starr.
Personally I'm not a massive fan of Guru (although I respect his talent) but I'm genuinely surprised someone so versed in the Hip Hop culture/industry doesn't know who Guru/Gang Starr is.
