Hey guys!

This is one of two bi-monthly comps for december 2009. Don't forget the other one with the Christmas theme!

I finally found the time to get this one up. There were few submissions, but allowing for seconds fluffed it up to a nice 16 tracks. I've listened to it and I have to say it's much more diverse than I first thought. The theme, as you know, is night driving and although there are some similarities here, it seems the mood we get from driving our cars at night and what that represents differ for each of us.

Because the tracks were so varied, I basically randomized the tracklist order when I put it together. Still, it's a crackin' comp. I'm gonna try it out on the road one of these days soon.

You should too!

Or - if that doesn't work :

This is the list of contributors. If you guess who submitted who, I'll add tracks after their usernames in the list! If someone's username is bolded, it means all their tracks have been guessed.
  • Anteater
    • Ragnarök - Fabriksfunky
    • Yesterdays - Somewhere in Space
  • CanwllCorfe
    • Robert Nickson feat. Elsa Hill - Never Again (Nitrous Oxide Remix)
  • Dieselboy
    • Burial - Archangel
  • Dr. Seussicide
  • Jackhammer
  • LoathsomePete
    • Buck 65 - Way Back When
    • Killing Joke - Invocation
  • NumberNineDream
    • Roy Orbison - In Dreams
  • Sidewinder
  • Stone Birds
    • The Swell Season - Low Rising
  • Tore
    • Madrugada - Shine
    • Mark Knopfler - Speedway At Nazareth feat Gillian Welch
    • Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - (Are You) The One That I've Been Waiting For
  • Zarko
    • Buddy Peace - I Explode (Why Bomb, Why)

I think everything is above is correct, but I'm not 100% sure. If there's a track or contributor missing, please let me know so I can fix it as soon as possible.

And enjoy the comp!

OK Gonna listen to it now. my track is a little out of character for me as the band generally are pretty banal but I do like the song and think it fits really well.

Swell Season- Stone Birds
Burial-CanwllCorfe
Nick Cave-One of them must be Bulldog!

EDIT.

Thoughts on the comp:

I don't drive but if I did I wouldn't use this as my tape of choice! Not because it was terribly bad but some stuff would make you fall asleep at the wheel! Maybe it's because we don't have huge open tracts of land to drive down and chill out too over here, with most trips short and sweet so I would like something a lot more upbeat.

I loved the Madrugada track but it was very chill but massive kudos to the inclusion of the Killing joke track. It worked really well. I have the Swell season track and that worked well but there were one or two tracks that just didn't do anything for me. The Deftones track failed to load for me

Just started playing it. Wow I didn't realize so many people had submitted multiple tracks, that'll make guessing interesting...for better or worse.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.
