Post A Verbis Ad Verbera

This one would be good acoustic.
It's a draft, but I doubt I'll change much of what's listed.
"true enough" in verse 2, was originally "to your lungs".
I changed that since it didn't make sense for blood to run to your lungs....although it does, air would fit better in that sentence.
I've worked on this for a while now.
Enjoy.

A Verbis Ad Verbera
(From Words To Blows)

Sticks and stones, hurt the most
When words come to blows
When hate comes to lie,
Just leave it behind

-----7 seconds-----

Often forget, what you said
What you wrote
At the head of your bed,
In the back of your room

-----7 seconds-----

Never again, will you do what you did
Will you act like a friend
With no mind to forgive,
Me

-----7 seconds-----

You talk a big game,
But you walk a short way
Then you say, what'd you'd do
But never do what you say

-----1 second-----

When words come to blows,
You run away

From words come blows,
So it's best not to speak

When words come to blows,
You have nothin' to say

From words come blows,
So it's best not to break
The silence

-----10 seconds-----

Half and half, is the blood
That runs true enough
Half water, half life
But whole if it's right

-----7 seconds-----

I often remember your words
What you said, what you wrote
What you told
In the back of your room

-----7 seconds-----

How could I forget, what you left
On the wall
On the floor, it's so hard
To forgive, and move on

-----7 seconds-----

Say it again, what you'd do
But you didn't - you left
Yeah you ran, and you took
Your words with you

-----1 second-----

When words come to blows,
You run away

From words come blows,
So it's best not to speak

When words come to blows,
You have nothin' to say

From words come blows,
So it's best not to break
The silence

-----------

I see the fear inside your eyes
I see it everytime, you talk
Your words don't hurt like mine

-----4 seconds-----

I feel the pain from your lies
The ones that you tell, everytime you talk
They hurt so deep inside

-----Background-----

And now I've had enough

----------------------

You took what you can't have
But I will get it back, my friend
And you've already lost

Cause now I've had enough

-----4 seconds-----

Oh, this is how it goes

-----4 seconds-----

From words to blows

-----4 seconds-----

This is how it goes

-----4 seconds-----

From words to blows

Awesome song. The only thing that bothers me is the ending "Cause now I've had enough." It just doesn't seem to be as thought out as the rest of the piece.

Thanks.
Yeah, I just added that to think of some way to end it.
It was added hastily too, since I've worked on it for weeks.
I made sure I would finish it today.

I like it. It has a real personal feel to it, and although I don't know you personally I think it probably means something to you, and would also to others. It does a good job of being expressive and also appealing. A little something for u & a little something for me.
