This one isn't quite finished and I'm suffering from writers block with it. I'll post it anyway and maybe someone can share an idea or two and help me out. I wasn't sure if both meanings of the word hail are spelled the same, but I did spell them the same.

HAIL (unfinished)

Sort of. I didn't intend it that way. I'd just been talking about the president with some friends right before writing it and that's what came out.

I can assure you the President is not purposely trying to screw us over. Unfortunetly, the majority of the population are influenced by either conservative or liberal media which at any given time likes to either condemn Obama just because... he's Obama... or lick his ass even when he takes a mistep. Especially if you live in the South, trust me... people "see it".

Facts are stupid things in our media, nowadays. Everyone wants their ears tickled.

I personally think the President is doing a fine job. He inherited a lot of problems from the previous administrations. Seems like for the first few months he was in Office people condemned him as a "do nothing" President, and then when he actually started to take action and directive steps to improve the country people condemned him for it. IMO that's all just very powerful right-wing propaganda from people who are pissed there is a liberal Democrat in office.

But it really does seem like he is screwing us. Example: somebody at the CIA developed a laser defense system that would be able to disarm a missile in the air as it was coming toward the US. Obama wouldn't allow them to use it, even though it is the single most sophisticated system of it's kind and it could one day save thousands of lives. Why would he do that? There are no major negtives to this system: it's inexpensive, functional, and, as I said, it could (and probably would), save lives. Do you see how I came to my current point of view?... Also, he wants to shut down NASA, the **** is up with that?

What? What have you been read/watching? He doesn't want to shut NASA down. He's simply not going to fund any further Lunar missions at this time, which means the NASA base in Houston may not operate for a while. He's putting our economy ahead of space exploration, I think his priorities are in line. Also, it's silly to say he wants to the the US Space Program because he's said he wants to get to Mars in his life time.

There's just no justification for spending billions of dollars on research when our economy is in the shape it's in.

As for the other story, I can't tell you because I haven't heard of it. But if funding was cut for it I'm sure there was a good reason. People in the government don't purposely try to screw with you, things just might appear that way to members of the populous who don't have the full story - made worse by our increasingly biased media.

That actually makes alot of sense. I stand by my belief that Obama is not a good guy, but I will say that it is possible I was misled.
