Inspiring Cheese
Hi, Stone Birds,
Well, here I am again, amused by your photo choices! Did you put that hunk o' cheese there just *knowing* I as a vegan wouldn't be able to ignore it? Very Krafty of you. Ha ha! So, yes, I have chosen the CHEESE for my topic, and I even have the basic structure in mind, thanks to my recently acquired knowledge that a certain SOMEONE with five X's in her name feels that "Ring around the Rosie" is a cree-eee-epy children's song. My song will be called...(drum roll)..."Wring." I plan for it to have a definite grim soul. Say, would it be okay with you, Stone Birds, if people who post (if there *is* anyone else who posts here) also tell what inpires them to write music, if they wish? I suspect many songwriters such as yourself probably like the music to speak for them, but in my case I happily speak separately from my music, and maybe other songwriters do, too! For example, I'd say my inspiration for making music comes from wanting to express a feeling of empathy or sympathy for others, as well as hold up a mirror to reflect what I see going on in the world. I imagine many people may feel inspired by particular events, or by spirituality. I've been trying to read through everyone's journals to get a feeling for this. --Erica |
