Yes,WiTTR.Also,Krallice,Weakling,Cobalt,Leviathan, Agalloch...that's in 2 seconds off the top of my head. USBM can stand toe to toe with anyone, purists just don't like to admit it.And i have nothing to gain either way,i'm not from the US or Norway (nor anywhere in Europe).I'm as big an Immortal fan as the next guy,but this **** is getting old.If anything,USBM is better than euro BM at the moment. Most of the good BM coming out of Europe these days is from eastern Europe and has strong folk influences.

That is why I picked them. While the US has Wolves in the Throne Room and Agalloch for folky stuff, Scandinavian black metal provides the most folky experience. I am not really a fan of raw black metal, which is why I am only talking about folk black metal.

This statement couldn't be more false. The only genres this holds true to are folk metal (of any variety), doom metal (of most varieties), and goth (of some varieties). Death metal, black metal, power metal, and thrash have had better showings in America than Europe since pretty much forever.
