Wojciech Golczewski - Reality Check (2016)

Quick Thoughts: Some actually beautifully made dance / synthwave-esque style music. This album has really blown me away and I found it by accident.

And of course, keeping synthwave alive, we have this lovely album:

FM-84 - Atlas (2016)

I'm going to dive heavily into FM-84 and see what it has to offer.

David Bowie - Blackstar (2016)

Qwertyy talked about this in his journal and I don't remember if I've given a few thoughts about it myself. Blackstar was and is still a very peculiar album because I've experienced it pre-death and post-death in regards to David Bowie. It's actually incredible to listen to Lazarus before and after he died. David Bowie knew pretty much exactly what was going to happen and how he was going to go, and this is what it means to go out with a bang. A truly remarkable album that I don't think will ever fight to be great. No other album has met this standard and I don't think any will for a long time.

I think Bowie has set a trend of artists near death making a farewell album. It looks like Leonard Cohen took note from him this year.
