Mr. Music (or '100 albums worthy of stealing your time')
Hello to you, dear reader, and thank you for visiting my journal!
I'm still fairly new to this forum, but I have had the urge to start this journal for a while now and given the fact I couldn't find a valid reason not to, I just did. The point of this thread is to indulge (or disgust) you guys with some album of which I think they are certainly worth giving a spin. The genres will be all over the place, so hopefully there's something for everyone! Mr. Sir PS: English is not my mother tongue, so if I make a mistake which wakes your luciferian alter Grammar Nazi ego, I'll be glad to accept feedback Spoiler for Albums:

1. Foetus - Flow
Flow is the currently 13-year old child of J.G. Thirlwell's Foetus. A better word than 'flow' could not have been found to describe what the musical styles on this album do. From industrial violence to groovy jazz: it's all there. Thirlwell successfully combines these styles in a unique whole and gives it a charismatic though slightly rough touch with his voice. |

Thanks for the support, guys!
The plan is to do 1-2 albums every week, so be sure to visit every once in a while if you like the albums. My signature has also been edited so that it now shows a link to this thread and the amount of albums covered. |

2. Fat Freddy's Drop - Based on a True Story
Hailing from New Zealand come to the kiwis of Fat Freddy's Drop. Their album Based on a True Story was dropped back in 2005 and became a major hit in New Zealand (not without reason). The combination of dub, funk, reggae and other musical genres is perfect for relaxing, whether it is in the sunny park with friends or alone in your lazy couch. |
