Default My life in music....

First of all, I would like to apologise for the rubbish title. I really do suck at giving anything a title! You'll soon realise this.

This could turn out to be the most used section of the site for me!

Means I can easily update on anything musical that's happening in my life, so here goes....

On Monday night, I went to see the Stereophonics at a small venue and it was amazing. Unfortunately the crowd were rubbish but that didn't matter, I enjoyed myself so much and loved every song! I am trying to get some money together to go again at the arena when they tour again in November. This isn't going too well as I don't get paid half as much as I'd like so if anyone feels generous, you know where I am

I decided at the start of this year that I am going to start going to more live music nights, gigs etc. So far I have been to two. Stereophonics & the Enemy. Loved the enemy too, they always seem so happy to be there playing!

Also thinking about doing a song a day here? Thoughts...

I don't know how to post videos yet as I don't seem to be able to do it on my phone

The song of the day from me is:

Arctic Monkeys - Mardy Bum

I love this song and it never fails to put a smile on my face! Also really does match my sleepy grumpy mood haha!

First off great start, seem like a good poster. Secondly I think that is a great goal, I do the same every year. Listening to music is one thing but experiencing it live is a whole different game. Unfortanitly shows often cost wayyy to much nowadays.

You can not post videos or images until either 10 or 50 posts, cant remember. So here:

Thanks for posting the video for me I have chance to learn then before I can actually post.

Yeah I 100% agree with you on that, the prices they charge for live events is ridiculous! I was super impressed when I went to see The Enemy as we only paid £5 for a ticket due to it being on a club night! Loved it. Wanting to go and see the Stereophonics again later on this year but for 2 tickets, plus booking fees etc it will cost me nearly £100!! I need a better paid job or to win the lottery.

Song of the day: Nothings Sweet About Me - Gabriella Cilmi

The reason for this being my song of the day was actually just because it was stuck in my head. I do like the song and haven't heard it (other than me singing/ruining it) for a while. I did go off the song for a while as everytime I was going anywhere in the car it used to be on. Definitely over played at the time.

The song that I now have stuck in my head is Elvis Presley -Hound Dog

they said you was high class, but the was just a lie

I don't mind a bit of Elvis, having been brought up listening to it I think I just got used to it being on and liking it. Again Elvis was massive and made an impact on a lot of things but I have to say some of his songs I really can't bear!

Also with the journals, do people just want music things or shall I branch out?

You can do whatever you want with it.

Your journal is yours, you do what you want with it. I have one concentrating specifically on TV and movies. Make it as interesting as you can and as different as you can if you want lots of views and comments. But other than that, make it about whatever you want and include whatever you like. See also the Batcave for more ideas on how varied/strange a journal can be.

Welcome to the journals section, and watch for your name in the weekly update post tomorrow in the "Announcements" subforum.

There's no limit on it it's just a case of this person going to the F.A.Q. and learning how it's done

I know how from other forums and have looked on the FAQ but I tend to come on here on my phone and it won't let me do that

Thanks for the other replies too I just didn't want to start going off on a rampage about other weird stuff and people getting annoyed with me. Also I would like to apologise now for any weird or odd messages that I have posted or will post. I am beyond tired as have been working nights and my body just messes up and doesn't sleep properly so I end up saying things that make complete sense to mw at the time but are odd afterwards haha.

Sorry no update yesterday, I was having a lazy day at my parents house. Watched a couple of films, Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium & Back To The Future. I liked Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium, not seen it before and it is a TV film but a nice children's film. Back To The Future I have always loved!! One of my favourites.

I haven't got too much planned for today, just getting the car tested and back to my own house before work tomorrow. As I wasn't on yesterday I am going to do two songs.

Kasabian - Fire

Kasabian are one of my favourite bands and I love this song. They are also pretty good live

Stereophonics - We Share The Same Sun

I have only recently discovered this song and I liked it but after seeing this live I loved it even more.
