Hated in the Nation is my favorite of all of Black Mirror. Holds up to lots of repeated viewings.

"Got him".

I haven't watched it. It's one of the few shows I'm interested in watching, though.

I'll admit it dragged and the concept was fairly generic, but I still thought it was tense **** and had some amazing moments that had me ****ting myself.

Imagine being trapped in a place where you couldn't do nothing but be idle, with nothing to keep your mind preoccupied. That whole set up had me anxious just thinking about it. I mean I've seen a few videos on YT of how the mind reacts to being isolated from people and things for more than a week. And that **** looked nerve wracking. As much as I loved the ideas it was exploring in that episode, I found it wholly inconsistent. It had some great ideas and moments that really got you thinking, but a lot of it dragged and felt unnecessary.

Agree to disagree. Imagine if here on MB we could all simply blank out members who annoy or piss us off? We'd all eventually log in one day to find this:

She screamed and he warned her but she kept on screaming so zinged her with 3 weeks. She came back screaming again so he gave her another 6 months. That broke her and she was a model AI from then on.

The freakiest part is when the 2 cops gave Joe 1,000 years at the end!

Just watched Metalhead and I'm sure that you all saw the symbolism at the end. So what do you think she did?

Spoiler for My Theory:
Maybe she was an animal abuser? Dog fighting ring operator? I think the fact that it's in black and white is significant. Also since my quoted post is so cryptic I should probably explain my theory better.

The ending with the teddy bears was a reference to the concept of White Bear which I think implies that the whole episode was an extension of White Bear where people were heavily punished for their actions in a perpetual and purgatorial way. We put chips in dogs. Is this our White Bear scenario?
