Dr Who?
Can't believe there's not a heated discussion already aboard this forum for the recent departure of David Tennant and arrival of that new guy.
Personally I never thought David Tennant would be able to fill the boots of Christopher Ecleston but he did the Doctor justice in his own right and to pre-judge a newer actor on appearance or just your own unhappiness with the fact that David Tennant just like every other Actor who has ever played the doctor eventually had to get killed off. I'm quite optimistic that the new Doctor will bring something different as always but equally brilliant to the show in his own right. Thought it was a good last episode for Tennant too, really enjoyed it. |

The last episode was awful, no plot whatsoever. It was just a bunch of action sequences loosely tied together with no thought whatsoever. And we could have done without the self indulgent last 20 minutes as well. But then again that's all the kind of stuff Russell T Davis has been chucking out for the last couple of series.
Tennant was a decent doctor but i'm far more interested in the change of production team. It would be nice if they went back to writing good stories that make sense that show how great he is, not awful scripts where they just keep saying how great he is every 5 minutes.

I'm a fan, I can find good in even the worst episode.
I mean shit, I own all of Sylvester McCoy's episodes. Bernard Cribbins was excellent. Fantastic idea to have him as the companion. John Simm was much better as The Master this time around. Timothy Dalton was perfect casting as the Time Lord president. And the only real part I liked of the ending was when he went to visit Jessica Hynes character at the book signing. Oh and the bit with the lottery ticket. And Matt Smith looks like he's going to be a great choice of Doctor. His 5 minutes alone at the end have got me really excited for the new series. See, I can find positives in even the worst episode

Tennant was the best Doctor since Tom Baker easily.

The new Dr? I thought he looked very strange and sly. I don't watch Dr. Who but a few friends speak highly of it, it's just not my type of programme. I prefer stuff that's **** from beginning to end
