The Dead Weather
Jack White's new band, featuring him on drums (yes he's technically better than Meg), VV from The Kills singing, Jack Lawrence from The Raconteurs and Dean Fertita from QOTSA. Video of their first single is here..
Sounds like, well, The Kills with a Jack White influence. I'm intrigued. |

Albums leaked, just finished my first listen and it's very promising. If you like your down and dirty blues rock then it's a must, imagine The Kills and The Raconteurs and you're there.
I'm not a video man most of the time either but this is badass |

I listened to a couple of songs from their site, and yeah it a little to get into the music. It's fully worth it though. And it's strange because the Treat Me Like Your Mother video looks like it was filmed in my city.

I took a listen of the album a couple of days ago and thought it was a pretty satisfying listen. I got everything I want from a Jack White collaboration, gritty rock drenched in cool.
Anyway, I was really surprised by the vocals. I never realised how much Alison Mosshart sounded like Jack White! She's a great singer. |
