Default Ki's Thread For Album Reviews (Recommended By MB Members)

Yeah yeah, i'm starting a new thread on this because my first one came off a bit negative and didn't really show my true interest in things like this. Yes, that's me admitting to my mistake so you win Trollheart.

Anyway, I really want to do this the right way, and I will be keeping the list that was from the previous thread and will continue to the reviews that I haven't gotten to yet, however I want to point out some ground rules before I get into things (thanks for the idea Trollheart, i'm stealing it now).
  • Reviews will either be short or long, just depends on my mood
  • Please recommend albums that I can find easily on the internet or spotify. A download link is even better so that I can listen to the album on my morning and evening commute.
  • Only albums. I had mentioned that I would do Youtube videos etc, but I was sort of joking. I only want full albums now.
  • Please no nitpicking / "you're taking forever to review albums" comments. I realize that people are joking when they say things like that, but i'm not at my PC as much as i'd like, and that means the reviews don't come as frequent as i'd like. I promise to get to them though.

Anyway, here's the list from the previous thread, feel free to continue sending me albums and I'll get to them as soon as I can:

The Batlord- A stupid looking album with Britney Spears on it: REVIEW
Trollheart - A desert picture with the word Eagles above it: REVIEW
Machine - The Front Bottoms - S/T: REVIEW
DwnWthVwls - Mac Lethal - 11:11: REVIEW
Plankton - Dayglo Abortions - Here Today, Guano Tomorrow: REVIEW
Goofle - EL-P - I'll Sleep When You're Dead
Frownland - Zu - The Way of the Animal Powers
YorkeDaddy - Daydream Society - For Now
The Batlord - Kylie Minogue - Light Years
Frownland - Keiji Haino - The 21st Century Hard-Y Guide-y Man
The Batlord - Ke$ha - Animal
Carpe Mortem - Nekrocrafte - Hexentanz
grindy - 10cc - The Original Soundtrack
Jesus the Carpenter - The Oblique Perspective
Plankton - The Dream - Planktons Odyssey
Machine - LASERDISC VISIONS - NEW DREAMS LTD.
Norg - Nothingface - Skeletons

The reviews linked in this thread are for linked to the previous thread, but they are still serious reviews about the albums that I have already listened to. From here on, the reviews that will be linked will be in this thread.

Nice idea to start fresh.
One more suggestion, that certainly helped me: cut off the recs at a certain point, so that you can concentrate on what you have and not be constantly battling the tide. In other words, once your in-tray gets full enough, empty it and don't allow any more work in till your out-tray is, if not full, at least reasonably full. I find that otherwise, people just keep piling rec after rec on you and you end up drowning in them.

And I'm saying that, with two or three recs a day being done in my thread!

Thanks. And what's funny is I actually quite like having recs come in even if the list is long. I'm most likely choosing to listen to a lot of these albums over my weekends so having more is actually better. But I do get what you mean, and i'll consider it.
