I really don't care. I'll listen to everything. Can't promise I'll be nice just because I know you slightly better than the average musician, though.

Get ready for part 2!
Album: Metal Acoustic Music Artist: Merzbow Genre: Noise Suggested by: grindy Familiarity: Did a bit of research in the meantime, and after hearing some of his other songs, I'm a bit scared. There's only one song, and it's called Balance of Neurosis. So, I'm gonna just lob all of this into one. Here it goes: Heard the first ten seconds and paused. I just can't do this anymore. Nah, jk. It actually sounds pretty cool. Let me guess, this is the entire album. There's basically a bunch of tapping noises. And that's about it, besides some guitar. Exciting... Alright, gonna try to condense this into ten minutes. Alright, skip. Wait, what's happening... Am I... enjoying this? Yeah, actually. This is some cool stuff. Maybe it's just that listening to so much prog has desensitized me to random noise going on forever. This is the kind of stuff you trip too. Lots of guitar in there. I think if you can tolerate sitting down for 40 minutes, or if you have nothing better to do, you might enjoy listening to this album. It's certainly not boring, and there's some weird beautiful attraction to it. Can't wait for his "doom metal" phase. Alright, this song is really weird, but it's also pretty dang cool. Fun. Funfunfunfunfunfunfunfun. FUNFUNFUBNFUNFUNFUN!FUN!FUN!FUN! FUN! FUN! FUN! FUN! FUN! FUN! Alright, I'm just typing random s*** at this point. You have to sort of zone out and not pay attention to it- WTF is that?!!!?! Is that... Merzbow? Alright, so now he's rambling into a mic. There is something good about this, but I can't really pinpoint it. Gotta just be the mixing. It's mixed so well. Anyways, it's really just guitar and random noise. There's no other way to describe this album. Listen to it if you like experimental rock or noise rock. You'll probably enjoy it. For me, it's a OVERALL RATING: 7/10

Back again. Gonna try an album without rating every song and see how it works. Let me know what you guys think of it.
Album: Crying Over Pros for No Reason Artist: edIT Genre: Glitch Suggested by: EPOCH6 Familiarity: Absolutely none. Haven't even ever heard any glitch, so going in completely blind. 1. Ashtray - Starts with a bunch of random clicking. Well, it has a beat, so it's gotta be good. There's a lot of effects and noise going on, but I'm into it. A simple beat and guitar riff tie everything together. This is some of the coolest stuff I've ever heard. It's incredibly well mixed. I can tell there was a lot of work put into this. Sounds a bit like Aphex Twin. It's really cool. Definitely memorable. Great opening track. 2. Ants - Very sudden change. More guitar work, got some violin this time. The production quality is incredible for a first release. It's really cool and mellow. About equivalent to the previous track, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Very atmospheric. A bit of talking parts in between the segments of the song. 3. Laundry - This time it's bass instead of the guitar. A lot more focused on the glitching, rather than instrumentation. It's different, but it's still cool. I wouldn't say it's as good as the other two though. I like the diversity in the tracks. 4. Situps Pullups - Bass is already playing a more prominent role here. There's also some keyboard. The glitching is still good as well. Overall, pretty good. The good thing about the album is that it's easy for people who aren't into the genre to get into it. And boy, am I getting into it. 5. Dex - The audio is very electronic this time. Seems like no acoustics at all. Not to say that detracts a whole ton. Not much is happening at the start. Then it blows up a bit. A electronic-sounding female voice comes in, and the glitching runs rampant throughout the song. All the while, a simple counter melody runs in the background. There's a bit of a quiet part, and then the glitching comes back in full force. The female voice also returns. 6. Twenty Minutes - It's not actually twenty minutes. Anyways, this one's cool. The glitching never gets old. The melody is sweet. More awesome stuff. 7. Screening Phone Calls - Weird Name ? Weird Song. The ultimate question. It appears so. Mellow, and sweet. It's so cool. It appears weird name = weird song. 8. Mop Head - Another strange name. Starts really mellow, and then the glitching begins. Not much else to say. It's a good song. 9. LTLP - More glitching, another cool backdrop, another good song. Not as good as some others though. 10. Mildew - I expect a little something more from the final song. Let's see if it lives up to my expectations. The guitars are back. Absolutely awesome effect with the reverb. No glitching at all. Definitely something very different for the end. But I like it! Alright, this album was pretty darn amazing. I was expecting something a bit worse, and a bit more hectic, but instead, I got a mellow, and well produced album. This one's definitely my favorite out of the ones I've done so far. OVERALL RATING: 9.5/10

Well if you're interested in hearing something experimental then; as my submission, try out Self Spiller's album Worms in the Keys. Here's the bandcamp link to the album where all the songs from it can be streamed.

By the way, I've decided to listen to albums I've already heard as well, just as a refresher. I won't listen to albums I've already done on here, however. I will be suggesting some albums to myself (sort of weird), just so I can re-listen to some albums I haven't heard in a while. My recommendations will have the same rules applied to them as everyone else's.

Gonna try and finish this one tonight.
Album: Absolutego Artist: Boris Genre: Drone Metal Suggested by: The Batlord Familiarity: None. 1. Absolutego - Droning. Droning. Droning and droning and droning. Then heavy distortion. Yup. It's definitely Japanese metal. Anyways, it gets pretty heavy. But as with any hour-long song, there's not much to it. Can't say I enjoy it that much. Towards the middle, it gets a bit sludgy. Eww. But as long as you're fine getting dirty, there's nothing wrong with it. It's not incredibly great musicianship, but I think it's pretty great that a few people sat down in a room for an hour and just played music. That's dedication. It's not terribly boring either, so if you're into sludge, you might like the middle part. And then, droning and droning and droning. The high pitch lowers a bit, and after another 30 seconds, it's over. Alrighty then. It's not really any good unless you decide to skip a few parts, so, overall, not very good. OVERALL RATING: 4/10 Alright, go for it, Batty.
