Also, it should be clear: I only burst into tears when it's a long song by YOU, as would anyone. I mean, what is it with your music? Is ANY of it short at all? Poor Batty is still recovering! Do you just forget the time, or how to end it, or do you actually intend to make ninety-hour songs each time???

This ones full of short songs: https://jesusthecarpenter.bandcamp.c...use-psychotria. To answer your question, since around 95% of my music is free improvisation, the song goes on for as long as it needs to.

Also 'poor Batlord?' He brought it on himself. If he made a thread where he was looking for recs he would dig I would have sent him an album that's not as difficult as A Van Per Oven and I bet WISSK would have a new fan.

Title: Golem
Artiste: Wand
Genre: Dunno
Familiarity: Zero

Track 1 I'm a bit taken aback, as I think this replaces a pop album Goof had recd me, but it sounds almost more indie rock or even metal; very heavy and powerful.
Track 2(Hate) and this is almost punk! Vocal is a little drowned out by the guitars.
Track 3 Darker, more restrained, almost new wave. It's better than the previous one anyway.
Track 4(Love) Oh this one is excellent! First time I've really actually liked something on the album, and no surprise that it's a ballad. Also I can hear the vocal much more clearly. Some violins or something there, though I know that guitar melody. What is it? Beatles? Floyd? Arrrgghh!
Track 5(Hate) And we're back to mediocre, fast punk tempo with vocals that are barely intelligible.
Track 6(Hate) Nah, don't like this either. Not at all. Oh, and the ending is doubly awful.
Track 7(Hate) Goof, what are ye doing to me???? Guitar tone is nice but still, a long way from Love
Track 8(Hate) Ok, now they're doing Doom Metal or something. Still not interested.
Track 9(Hate) No, last track couldn't save it.

End result: Big, big, BIG disappointment. Perhaps wrongly, I had assumed this would be a pop album replaced by a pop album, so that threw me. I also expected it to be good, considering the source. But I saw virtually nothing in it. Sorry man: guess even the best of us misfire once in a while.

So, Love or Hate? Goofle's first actual Hate, I'm afraid

I don't know why I thought you would like it in retrospect. I am pretty much certain you won't like my next one, but I consider it to be an essential Hip Hop album.

Just so you know, I checked it out, and I love it. Hardcore punk is always good, and the experimental bits thrown in don't feel out of place at all.

SUGGEST ME AN ALBUM - I'm probably not going to listen to it but I will if you bother me enough.

Title: Play
Artiste: Moby
Genre: Electronic/Dance
Familiarity: I know “Natural blues”, that's it
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Play_(...#Track_listing

Track 1 Good boppy opener, bit repetitive
Track 2 Another decent track, but I'm not overly impressed just yet
Track 3(Love) Ok, I think I know this one. Or is it just using the piano line from “Piano in the dark”? Nice anyway.
Track 4(Love) And this is lovely too. Favourite by a long way so far.
Track 5 This is just ok; a bit of a comedown after the last two great tracks.
Track 6(Love) This however restores my confidence. Gorgeous little track, mostly instrumental with just a female vocal sort of lazily singing “Yeah yeah yeah” over it. Almost classical in a way. Really nice.
Track 7(Hate) Oh God this is awful!
Track 8(Love) I know and love this, of course.
Track 9 OK I suppose, nothing special
Track 10 Too short to rate.
Track 11 Yeah it's all right. Bit annoying.
Track 12(Love) This is lovely though.
Track 13(Love) This one is great too; very low-key, slight touch of menace in it
Track 14(Love) Love the acoustic guitar line in this
Track 15(Love) This is just gorgeous too. Talk about chillout!
Track 16(Love) And this is beautiful too.
Track 17(Love) And another great chill out. Spoken vocal. Very low-key, very very cool.
Track 18(Love) And a beautiful, tender closer. Superb.

End result: Started off a little wobbly, but really recovered towards the end and the last seven tracks or so were all gold, so I can ignore the meh ones and the one I hated. Great album, with some flaws but not too many.

So, Love or Hate? I'd put this down as a Love.

So that's what it was! No wonder I hated it! Goofle! How could you? I though we were friends...?
