Damn Trollheart. I figured you would enjoy it but not that much. She's my favorite artist, I'm glad you liked it so much. Did any song stand out as a favorite on the album?

I posted her full live performance in the Glastonbury 2015 thread by Goofle if you're interested and have any spare time (LOL)...

Pretty much all of it, but especially the opener, the title and I think "Delilah"? There really wasn't one track I didn't love, hence the rating.

Title: Get Lost
Artiste: The Magnetic Fields
Genre:
Familiarity: Zero
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Get_Lo...c_Fields_album)

Note: I see the CD and Vinyl versions are both laid out differently, track listingwise. My Spotify copy has given me the Vinyl order, just so you know.

Track 1(Love) Nice sparse opener; is that uke? Probably not. Great vocals.
Track 2(Love) Now we have dark synthy new-wave stuff, with a deep and stark voice. Really like this one.
Track 3(Love) Keeping with the dark, morose synthy stuff, still very good. Voice reminds me of Phil Oakey, kind of.
Track 4(Love) More kind of acoustic and indie. Nice though.
Track 5(Love) Nice dream pop/psych feel to this.
Track 6(Love) A slow, morose synthy one with a dark vocal
Track 7 This is pleasant, a little filler-ish. Nice sitar? Actually, it's a bit dreary. First point on the album where I haven't been enthusiastic.
Track 8(Love) Much better! Uptempo, love the banjo. Voice is actually more Divine Comedyesque now.
Track 9(Love) Uptempo again, more in the new-wave mould a la The Cars. Like this.
Track 10(Love) This one sort of reminds me of China Crisis for some reason. Another boppy, synthy number. Vocal is a bit echoey?
Track 11(Love) More kinda poppy. Quite catchy.
Track 12(Love) Nice thoughtful little acoustic-y ballad
Track 13(Love) Pleasant laidback little dream poppy closer.

End result: Very enjoyable album. Interesting switch in the styles; think I prefer their dark new-wavey/synthy approach, but very good overall.

So, Love or Hate? This would be a Love.

Chances of a full review: 3/10

I watched her Glastonbury set, and actually saw her this past Bonnaroo, and she really kinda just sticks to the basics. Her song lineup was the same, she asked everybody to be picked up during Raise It Up, she runs through the audience. Still, it was rad experiencing a Florence set. And her background is like a fucking disco ball that's laid out. If that makes sense?

Did I miss something? What does that mean? Also, what's a Bonnaroo?

She asked the audience to "get high with her", meaning putting someone on your shoulders. And it's the best Four days of your Goddamn life that's what it is.

OK, I'm not doing Swans tonight. Just looked at it and it's a double album with tracks that are 12, 17 and thirty-****ing-four minutes long! Ain't got time for that. I'll try to do it tomorrow but no promises. It's too late for this **** tonight.

Bonnaroo is one of the Big Four of douchebag hipster music festivals, along Coachella, SxSW, and Burning Man.
